Women were considered inferior to men at every point of view as well as at every stage of life. They were forbidden from taking part in social job. Women were limited in domestic activities. Before the 19th century it was believed that they were the only servants of homes and their husbands. They were not allowed to take part in anny social, political and administration life, but the time totally changed it.


Women taking active part

Qiute recently, women have come to take part in many spheres of life domently, as well as they have excelled men, in sports, artistic pursuits, in office and industry. They mention new record of efficiency and honesty. Women have succeeded Brantley as a teachers and nurses.

Women is working side by side men with high domently and honestly, in profession, outdoor life and law, they clam equality with men. Women are police and military officers. Women are working as sale girls as air hostess and clerks.

Status of women in Pakistan 

The status of women is important aspect  in progress of any country. The status of women in Pakistan is systemic gender francais even though it varies considerably between classes, regions, and the urban-rural divide due to uneven socioeconomic development and the impact of feudal, tribal, and capitalist social formations on women’s lives. The Pakistani women of today enjoy a better status than in the past.

Some of the discrimination against women in law has been repealed. However, there is still a long way to go. Among other issues, enrolment of girls in primary and secondary school is low and child marriages continue to be a problem. There is still much to be done in Pakistan for gender equality.
